This outstanding Altina Wildlife Park has unique personalised tours, accomplished in style via a Horse Drawn Cart furnished with comfortable seats. The open-aired and leisurely feel of the tour will allow you to experience close up encounters with our animals.
Whilst touring our Park that is cradled amongst majestic River Red Gums, observe many splendid native bird and animal species such as Parrots, Emus, Birds of Prey, Kangaroos and Goannas. The highlights of the tour are the exotic animals that roam in large open styled enclosures which are very content to feed near the cart as we stop for a closer look.

A shady lawn-covered amphitheatre surrounds three large swimming pools and a toddlers pool. A water slide, rampage slide and children’s playground as well a kiosk and coin operated barbecues add to the amenity of this oasis at the edge of Lake Talbot.
Lake Talbot is the premier swimming and recreational facility of the Riverina so be sure to come along and enjoy the fun from November through to March annually.

The Parkside Cottage Museum situated in a century-old building was established in 1968 and holds some extremely important items. These include; a first-rate yesteryear Telecom equipment display, a set of silver ingots marking 1,000 years of monarchy, an extensive and valuable worldwide collection of shells. The celebrated scarlet coloured merino cloak is also on display and is the only one of its kind in the world, made from the first bale of wool sent to England by the Macarthur family in 1816.

Royal Doulton Hankinson Memorial Fountain
The Hankinson Memorial Fountain is a ceramic fountain created by Royal Doulton. It is located in Narrandera within the Memorial Gardens East Street and Victoria Avenue. There are only two of these fountains known to be in existence, the other one being in Pakistan.
The ceramic Royal Doulton fountain was presented to the people of Narrandera by Ald RH and Mrs Hankinson in 1922 “in honour of all those in Narrandera and District who served in the Great War 1914-1918.” The fountain remains a fitting tribute to Mr Hankinson who stands in local history as one of the area’s most civic minded citizens.

Tiger Moth Memorial
The Tiger Moth Memorial is of the No. 8 Elementary Flying School.
In August 1940, an air school was established at Narrandera on the site of the present airport by the Royal Australian Air Force. The school was the No. 8 Elementary Flying Training School, where over the next five years during the World War II, 3,818 student pilots commenced their elementary flying training on DH82 Tiger Moth Aircraft.
The memorial features a DH82 Tiger Moth Aircraft as used at the training school.

Narrandera Golf Course
This is listed as one of the best golf courses by Golf Digest. A magnificent 18-hole course set within a cypress pine forest.
Narrandera’s Golf Course is consistently rated in the top 100 courses in Australia and is acknowledged as the premier course of the Riverina. The gently undulating course meanders its way through a picturesque setting and the challenging layout is presented in top condition all year round.
Extensions have been carried out recently and there is a great covered outdoor area that is perfect for group barbecues. A play area has also been erected for children visiting the Golf Club.
Narrandera has a rich heritage dating from old riverboat days and there is much to explore away from the golf course.
Pro Shop, club and cart hire, private lessons and clinics are available. The club holds a Veteran’s Week of Golf each October.

John Lake Centre – Narrandera Fisheries Centre
The John Lake Centre features an aquarium with many fish species of the Murray Darling system in particular the icon of the river system, the mighty Murray Cod.
Have a close encounter with native and endangered bred species of the Murray Darling river system. As well as other interesting locals such as the Murray Cray, the Long Neck Turtle and the endangered Trout Cod and Purple Spotted Gudgeon.
The theatrette presents a video on the centres research into endangered and threatened species, it provides visitors with a better understanding about conservation and breeding of native fish species and while observing the spawning and breeding techniques.
Feed the fish with a bag of pellets and see the fish rise.
Visitors can make the most of their trip with a picnic on the beautiful lawns, free barbecues and toilets facilities.
Wheel chair access available to all areas of the centre.
